BANK BARN: DIRECTIONS

From the South

  • Eventually you cross a river and enter Holmrook.
  • Gosforth is your next town (5 miles).
  • Turn right into Gosforth (signposted Gosforth, Eskdale and Wasdale). You should plan on 1.5 hours to Gosforth.
  • Pass through the village (carpark on left, Lakeland Habit village shop on right).
  • The road then forks (right to Eskdale) stay on the road to the left to Wasdale.
  • Pass church on left.
  • Stay on this road.
  • After 2 miles pass a turning to Nether Wasdale on your right. Ignore this.
  • After a further 0.5 miles pass another (unsigned turn on right). Ignore this also.
  • After a further 200 metres you will see a sign warning of a cattle grid. Turn left into Yew Tree Farm. If you go over the cattle grid on the main road you have gone too far.

Alternatively stay on the M6 and follow the directions from the North.
